Four practical, hands-on workshops introducing participants to simple but powerful ways to BEGIN to teach the arts in elementary classrooms.  The focus will be on high-yield strategies that enhance student learning in and through drama, dance, visual arts and music.

Fifty teachers and teacher candidates participated in the Fall 2011 session of the ARTS PART. This movie clip captures participants " mirroring to music"–Note their concentration, aesthetic /kinesthetic/ spacial awareness and concentrated delight in the creative process. The music that they are moving to is from Canadian composer Rafael Fuentes' Colours CD.
