The ERC is a library of materials to support you during your practice teaching by providing access to a number of resources and materials. We are located in Winters College on the main floor at front reception (Room 135).
The BEd Student Services Office provides advising for both new and continuing students in the Faculty of Education. If you have any specific questions that you need clarified, please contact our office at 416-736-5001 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Current teacher candidates are encouraged to book an individual advising appointment with an Education advisor to support their questions and/or advising needs. All Concurrent and Consecutive teacher candidates are able to book an advising appointment by going to the current student website
Teacher Candidates who are requesting to waive “Concurrency Regulation” need to submit the Waiver form by May 1, 2016.
Support for Students with Special Needs
If you have any of these conditions (Learning Disability; Sensory and Medical Disability; Mental Health Disability), you may access support through Counselling and Disability Services (CDS).
Awards and bursaries are available to assist you with the costs of your university education and are granted on the basis of student financial need, with some consideration given to academic progress. Some awards will have additional criteria which you can find on the individual award descriptions.
If you are a student in our BEd program, you can access AIM, a mentorship and support program for students who experience systemic barriers as a result of their race/class/gender/sexual orientation/disability, etc.
Here are a few important resources for our grad students. Although most of your questions and concerns can be answered by our Graduate Program Office, the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) also provides essential support and facilitation to students, staff and faculty in graduate programs at York.
