Placements are arranged by the Practicum Office using our partner schools in the GTA. To assist us in making an appropriate placement, please complete the online placement preference form to inform the Practicum Office of your availability and preferred geographical zone no later than November 14.
Students must hold a successful criminal background check issued after June 1st, 2011. Students selecting a Peel District School Board placement must hold a successful criminal background check issued after December 1st, 2011.
Students residing in Toronto will need to obtain an authorized Faculty of Education signature prior to submitting their police record check forms to Toronto Police Services. The signature and form can be obtained in Winters College 108 during regular office hours.

All TCs must hold a successful criminal background check issued AFTER June 1, 2012. Please be advised that criminal background checks, which must include Vulnerable Sector Screening, can take 3 months or longer to receive. TCs will not be permitted to begin the practicum placement without a successful criminal background check. It is the responsibility of the TC to undertake all necessary steps to receive a successful criminal background check.

When planning your course selections for next year, you must keep Wednesdays free to attend your school practicum and practicum seminar.
