Mentorship

Access Initiative Mentorship (AIM) is a mentorship program for students currently enrolled in York’s Faculty of Education.

This initiative seeks to provide mentorship support for undergraduate students who experience systemic barriers as a result of their race/class/gender/sexual orientation/disability/etc. This informal support will be provided by mentors in the profession who have also experienced systemic barriers and have an understanding of the challenges that may result from these barriers. The process to obtain additional support is simple.

3 Easy Steps to Gaining Additional Support

  1. Send an email to access@edu.yorku.ca indicating that you would like to talk with a mentor
  2. We will respond with the name and phone number of a mentor
  3. Contact your mentor and discuss with them how they can best support you
